Dallas Officer Involved in Early Morning Deep Ellum Shooting

In the early hours of Saturday, a Dallas Police Department (DPD) officer was involved in a shooting incident near Deep Ellum in downtown Dallas, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to several others.

According to a statement from the Dallas Police Department, just before 2:30 a.m., officers patrolling the area were flagged down to respond to a shooting reported in a parking lot located under a bridge at the intersection of Canton Street and South Good Latimer Expressway.
