Posting to his platform, Truth Social, Trump declared O’Donnell a “threat to humanity” and said he was giving “serious consideration” to stripping her of her citizenship, adding that she should remain in Ireland “if they want her.”

Trump’s suggestion of revoking citizenship is not without controversy, as constitutional scholars have frequently noted that the United States Constitution protects citizens from losing their nationality without due process. Nonetheless, the former president’s statement underscores how personal animosity can still command national attention, especially when it involves a high-profile critic.

For her part, O’Donnell expressed no regrets over her opposition to Trump, stating she is “very proud” to have consistently challenged his conduct and rhetoric.
