Trump and Vance Deny Epstein Dinner Allegations

US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have strongly denied claims that they attended or organized a dinner involving discussions about the late Jeffrey Epstein.

The allegations, which surfaced in US media reports earlier this week, suggested that Vance had arranged a private dinner attended by senior officials, with the topic of Epstein reportedly raised. Trump addressed the matter directly during a press briefing on Wednesday, branding the claims as politically motivated and untrue.

“Look, the whole thing is a hoax,” Trump said, visibly frustrated. “It’s put out by the Democrats because we’ve had the most successful six months in the history of our country, and they’re just trying to distract from that with something completely false.”

Vice President Vance also issued a formal statement denying any involvement in such a meeting. His office called the story “entirely fabricated” and said there was “no record or evidence” to support the claims.

Trump has long accused sections of the media and his political opponents of using false narratives to undermine his administration. He characterized the recent story as another example of partisan attacks ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, where Republicans are aiming to regain ground in both the House and Senate.

The reports appear to have originated from unnamed sources, with no concrete documentation or official confirmation. Critics of the coverage have pointed out the timing and lack of verifiable evidence, accusing certain outlets of pushing stories designed to discredit the current Republican leadership.

Jeffrey Epstein, a financier with links to high-profile figures, died in a New York prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. His case continues to generate speculation, though many of the allegations remain unsubstantiated.

The White House has not commented beyond Vance’s office statement, and there is no indication of any formal investigation linked to the supposed dinner.

Political analysts note that the Republican administration has faced a series of unproven accusations in recent months, with several being later retracted or quietly dropped. For now, Trump and Vance remain focused on economic and domestic policy, with the president continuing to campaign actively across key states.
