Devin Carroll, a 22-year-old former Conway Middle School aide and pastor in Nakina, North Carolina, was arrested on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Horry County, South Carolina, on charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

 Carroll was listed as the pastor of Happy Home Baptist Church in Nakina, North Carolina, beginning May 26, 2024; the church’s website has since removed his information. The church has not stated the arrest and did not respond to inquiries for comment.
