Man Hospitalized After Late-Night Stabbing in Scottsbluff

Authorities have yet to make any arrests following a near-fatal stabbing that left a 38-year-old man hospitalized late Friday night. 

The incident occurred just before midnight on July 25 in the 700 block of 14th Avenue, according to a press release from the Scottsbluff Police Department. 

Before officers could arrive, a bystander transported the victim to Regional West Medical Center, where he was treated for multiple stab wounds to the torso. While his condition has since been stabilized, no suspects have been identified or apprehended.

Police have not released any details about the circumstances leading up to the stabbing or whether the victim and potential assailant knew each other. Authorities have also not disclosed whether the assault took place inside a residence or in a public area. No weapon has been recovered, and investigators are still working to collect surveillance footage and witness statements from the surrounding neighborhood.

In the meantime, the investigation remains ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. The Scottsbluff Police Department has requested that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant details contact them as soon as possible. 

No weapons or further evidence have been reported at this stage.
