US Army Issues Terror Threat Alert for Retired Officials in Florida

The United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) has issued a verified alert warning of a potential terrorist threat targeting retired defense officials residing in Florida. The memo, which surfaced late last week, advises heightened awareness and precaution for those who previously served in key roles within U.S. military operations in the Middle East.

According to the memo, the threat specifically concerns former personnel with ties to Department of Defense (DoD) missions in the Syria and Iraq regions. Uniquely, the warning highlights Florida as the geographic focus of the threat, raising concern among both veterans and national security observers.

USASOC, which oversees elite Army units tasked with high-risk missions, confirmed to ABC News that the alert was authentic. Army spokesperson Colonel Allie Scott explained the notice was issued following the receipt of “credible information.” She emphasized that such alerts are standard when legitimate threats are identified, reinforcing the command’s obligation to protect former service members.

The memo urged recipients to share the alert with other retired military personnel who may be unaware and currently reside in Florida. The message, while not disclosing further specifics, reflects the military’s longstanding policy of issuing “Duty to Warn” notices when necessary to safeguard its community.

Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) targeting officer Sarah Adams brought wider attention to the memo by posting it on her social media feed. Adams, now an analyst and contributor to Special Operations Forces Report (SOFREP), has offered her assessment, suggesting possible links to Hamza bin Laden. Though officially declared deceased, Adams has raised doubts about those reports in previous commentaries.

While skepticism has surfaced online, some claiming the alert is exaggerated or politically motivated, the confirmation from major outlets like The New York Times and ABC News lends weight to the seriousness of the matter.

For now, vigilance remains key. The reminder is clear: those who served this country remain targets long after their official duties have ended, and the responsibility to protect them continues.
