Dunnellon Resident in Custody After Facebook Threats to Shoot Neighbors and Children

A 46-year-old man from Dunnellon, Florida, remains behind bars following his arrest last week for allegedly threatening to shoot his neighbors and their children.

Vincent Debowe has been held in the Marion County Jail since Friday after Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies acted on a tip that he had made threatening posts on social media. Authorities confirmed the threats were written on Facebook and were reported through an anonymous tip.

According to Sheriff’s officials, deputies were dispatched to Debowe’s residence near Dunnellon after receiving the information. Upon arrival, Debowe reportedly refused to leave his home, but after a period of non-compliance, Debowe eventually exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident.
