Miami Hairstylist Ryan Pearl Charged with Sexual Misconduct Involving Minor

Ryan Pearl, a 37-year-old celebrity hairstylist, was arrested in Miami for allegedly targeting a 15-year-old client with sexual misconduct, according to law enforcement reports. The arrest took place on July 30, 2025, in Coconut Grove, a neighborhood southwest of downtown Miami, following a police sting operation.

Pearl, known for styling high-profile clients such as Hailey Bieber, Jake Paul, and Sophie Turner, was apprehended after allegedly attempting to meet a minor, who was actually an undercover detective. The investigation began when the victim’s mother noticed suspicious deposits in her daughter’s Apple Wallet and uncovered inappropriate text messages between Pearl and the teenager, as reported by Local 10 News. The mother expressed outrage, stating, “I was furious, I was very upset. I couldn’t believe someone that has a reputation, and works in a very luxury hair salon was capable of doing this” (Local 10 News).

According to a detective’s arrest report cited by Local 10 News, Pearl sent explicit photos and made sexual remarks during controlled conversations, despite knowing the recipient was a minor. The communication began two years earlier when the victim, then 13, was a client at Pearl’s salon. Authorities reported that Pearl sent a nude photo of himself, prompting the detective to respond, “I am very shy please don’t, do U care that I am 15? How old R U? Explain things to me, I only know things from my friends when they talk” (CBS News Miami).

During the arrest, Miami Police Department (MPD) officers found suspected pink cocaine, condoms, and vaping devices in Pearl’s possession, according to CBS News Miami. Pearl faces multiple charges, including possession of cocaine, contributing to the delinquency of a child, using a computer to seduce a child into sexual conduct, traveling to meet a child after luring them online, and two counts of transmitting harmful content to a minor electronically. He was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on July 31, 2025, with a bond set at $26,000.

Pearl, a Redken brand ambassador, operated out of Ollin Salon in Miami, charging $200 to $650 for hair coloring services. His Instagram, with over 117,000 followers, showcases his work with celebrities, including a notable bubblegum pink bob for Hailey Bieber at the 2018 Met Gala. Despite his professional success, these allegations have cast a shadow over his career, raising concerns about client safety in high-end salons.
