Man Faces Multiple Charges After Driving Stolen Golf Cart on Airport Walkway

A man has been arrested and charged following a strange incident at Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) in New York, where he was caught on video driving a stolen airport golf cart onto a moving walkway. The man, identified as 29-year-old Kevin Sinning from Wyoming, is now facing several criminal charges, including grand larceny and criminal mischief.

The widely circulated video shows Sinning erratically operating the electric golf cart within the airport terminal. The footage begins with Sinning navigating the vehicle off a moving walkway before turning back and driving toward it again, nearly colliding with several caution signs placed along the path. Eyewitnesses recorded the moment as Sinning attempted to steer the cart back onto the walkway, positioning the driver-side wheels on a metal surface while the passenger-side wheels rolled along the conveyor belt.

As Sinning passed by one of the bystanders recording the incident, he appeared expressionless and unfazed, despite the chaos surrounding him. Moments later, police intervened and took him into custody at the end of the moving walkway. According to local broadcaster WKBW, officers stated that Sinning appeared to be visibly intoxicated during the arrest.

Authorities also noted that the airport’s moving walkway sustained damage as a result of the unauthorized vehicle use. Sinning now faces a series of charges, including disorderly conduct, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal nuisance, criminal mischief, and grand larceny.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and airport officials have yet to issue further comments on how Sinning gained access to the vehicle or what security measures may be reviewed in response to the event.
