A man from Jonestown is facing multiple charges after allegedly opening fire on a Lebanon City, Pennsylvania residence, in the early hours of June 27, according to authorities. Police say no one was physically hurt, but the shooting put the lives of three people at risk and left a neighborhood deeply unsettled.

Around 12:30 am, officers from the Lebanon City Police Department responded to reports of gunfire on the 400 block of Lehman Street. Upon arrival, they discovered that bullets had struck a home multiple times, and several spent shell casings were found scattered in a nearby parking lot. The suspect had already fled before police reached the scene.

Investigators recovered 11 casings from a 9 millimeter firearm across the street and found eight bullet heads and fragments inside the targeted home. According to court documents, three individuals were inside the residence at the time of the shooting. One of the occupants informed police that the gunfire might be tied to an earlier assault at Lancaster County Correctional Facility.

Detectives reviewed several recorded phone calls from the prison and determined that an inmate had allegedly instructed 20-year-old Bryant Pagan-Rodriguez to carry out the shooting. The identity of the inmate has not yet been released to the public.

Based on the evidence gathered, Pagan-Rodriguez has been charged with discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person, propulsion of missiles onto a roadway, and possession of an instrument of crime with intent. The term “propulsion of missiles” in this context refers to the illegal firing of bullets into a space where people were present.

Although no one was injured in the incident, authorities stated that the situation could have ended in tragedy, noting that three people were inside the home when the shots were fired, and it was fortunate no one was hit.

Pagan-Rodriguez is currently awaiting his preliminary hearing, which is set for 8 am on August 7 before Magisterial District Judge Kim Wolfe. Investigators have not said whether the firearm used in the shooting has been recovered, and it remains unclear whether additional suspects will face charges related to the prison connection.

The Lebanon City Police Department is continuing its investigation and has encouraged anyone with information to step forward.
